Masterclass: Decoding Sentiment
Join Professor Marcin Kacperczyk in the masterclass “Decoding Sentiment" and explore how to characterise business sentiment from corporate video presentations. In this session, Marcin will draw on decades of experience in understanding individual responses to corporate messaging. Contrary to the standard setting in which sentiment is assessed by hard data, Marcin will try to argue that individual decisions also depend on other aspects of the message beyond the content, such as verbal, voice, and facial expressions.
The class will introduce AI-based methodologies in which the three elements of sentiment can be extracted from online streams. These methodologies will be assessed using individual mutual fund investment choices. This is a must-attend session for those trying to understand how communication affects decisions and how to structure the message to achieve more desired outcomes.
