Programme curriculum

Unit 1: AI ethics & fundamentals

This module explores AI’s role in the workplace, ethical considerations, and the balance between innovation and responsible AI adoption. Learners will understand AI security, legislation, and best practices for implementation. 

  • Workshop 1: Prompt engineering – getting AI to work for you
  • Task: Create a personal learning plan 

Unit 2: AI-powered productivity & efficiency

Learn to harness AI for time-saving automation, workflow optimisation, and streamlined task management. This module focuses on real-world applications of AI in everyday work. 

  • Workshop 2: Boosting productivity with AI-powered workflows
  • Task: Use Copilot to research articles in a SharePoint folder 

Unit 3: Copilot for email, communication & documents

Improve workplace communication and document management using AI. This module teaches AI-powered techniques to enhance clarity, collaboration, and information sharing. 

  • Workshop 3: AI & communication strategies
  • Task: Effective communication 

Unit 4: Supporting & training others in AI adoption

Develop the skills to champion AI adoption within your team. Learn how to train others, design AI-powered support solutions, and drive organisational change.

  • Task: Working collaboratively 

Unit 5: AI for collaboration & knowledge management

Understand how AI can enhance teamwork, centralise knowledge, and improve workplace collaboration. Learn to set up AI-driven systems that support seamless information sharing. 

  • Workshop 5: Designing an AI-powered support desk
  • Task: Supporting stakeholders 

Unit 6: Workflow automation with copilot and power automate

Gain hands-on experience in using AI-powered workflow automation to eliminate manual tasks, improve efficiency, and integrate AI solutions into daily operations.

  • Task: Sharing information & best practices 

Unit 7: Custom AI agents with Copilot Studio

Learn how to design, build, and deploy AI-driven virtual assistants and chatbots using Microsoft Copilot Studio to solve business challenges.

Unit 8: AI for data analysis & insights

Master AI tools for data analysis and stakeholder insights. Learn how AI can improve decision-making by generating real-time reports and actionable intelligence.

  • Task: Sustainable solutions 

Unit 9: Managing risk in digital transformations

Develop the ability to mitigate risks and navigate challenges associated with AI adoption and digital transformation in an organisation.

  • Task: Identify a project

Unit 10: Preparing for final project & EPA

Prepare for the final assessment by refining AI skills, structuring project reports, and mastering interview techniques to demonstrate competency. 

  • Workshop 10: Managing risk in digital transformations
  • Task: Plan your project 

Unit 11: Final EPA preparation & mock interviews

This final module ensures learners are ready for assessment, equipping them with practical interview techniques, portfolio development guidance, and final EPA readiness.

  • Task: Prepare for gateway 

End point assessment

Final assessment of knowledge, skills, and behaviours developed throughout the programme. Learners will complete their portfolio, project report, and professional discussion.
