Connecting The Dots: How and why to embed a people-first approach to AI

“AI is a people matter. If you approach it purely as a technology project, you’ll end up with a solution that doesn’t meet the right needs.”

Elodie de Fontenay
Head of Data and AI Transformation, Royal London Asset Management

AI is a People Matter

AI has already arrived in your organisation – what happens next is up to you. Connecting The Dots reveals that the most successful AI transformations start with people, not platforms.

Our Connecting The Dots 2025 event, hosted by Corndel in collaboration with Imperial Executive Education, brought together senior leaders from across industry – from the BBC’s Generative AI Programme to advisors leading complex regulatory and data transformations across Europe.

The panel featured voices shaping the next decade of responsible AI, including Elodie de Fontenay (Royal London Asset Management), Niresh Rajah (Chief Data & AI Officer) Louise Blythe (BBC), and Sarah Wyer (Corndel Coach and AI ethics researcher).

Together, they explored how businesses can combine technical capability with human understanding to prepare their people for an AI-enabled future. Their collective insights informed the Connecting The Dots report – a blueprint for embedding trust, ethics and accountability in every AI strategy.
