Corndel’s Director of Data and AI Strategy awarded prestigious Churchill Fellowship

Corndel is proud to announce that Jake O’Gorman, Director of Data and AI Strategy, has been named a 2025 Churchill Fellow.

The Churchill Fellowship is the UK’s national memorial to Sir Winston Churchill and provides recipients with the opportunity to travel internationally and bring back insights that drive innovation and public good. Often likened to a Rhodes Scholarship for those working in industry, just over 100 fellows are selected annually across all sectors, with Jake among a small group selected to focus on Technology for Good.

Jake’s Fellowship will support a vital research initiative exploring how the United States is leveraging AI to power innovation in the charity sector. In October, Jake will take a sabbatical from Corndel to visit New York, Washington D.C., Harvard, and MIT, where he will examine emerging AI practices that could benefit the UK’s non-profit ecosystem.

His report, titled “Researching U.S. advances in AI to strengthen innovation and capability in the UK charity sector,” will be published in early 2026 and shared with third-sector leaders, policymakers, and technology partners.

“The Churchill Fellowship represents an extraordinary opportunity to explore how AI can be responsibly harnessed to support charitable organisations. I’m honoured to contribute to the UK’s efforts to ensure AI adoption is inclusive, ethical and socially impactful.”

We are incredibly proud of Jake and look forward to the insights his work will bring.”
