Progress, powered by upskilling
Momentum you can feel
From London to Manchester, we brought together a growing community of degree apprentices – and their Coaches – to explore purpose-led leadership, the importance of human judgement in an AI-enabled world, and sustainability in action.
The atmosphere was energetic and reflective in equal measure with a blend of high‑engagement discussions, interactive workshops and meaningful conversations that shaped the day. Designed around the curiosity and drive of professionals across industries who want to learn, level up, and lead with purpose, the Corndel Business Summits create a space to connect, challenge thinking and apply ideas to their work.
Keynotes included Chartered Psychologist, author and internationally recognised leadership coach Sarah Rozenthuler, and award-winning trainer and TEDx speaker Andy Coley – bringing fresh insight into purpose, human-centred leadership and ethical decision-making.
The day closed with a live commitment wall, capturing pledges for culture, inclusion, and ethical AI as those who attended reflected on how they would put these insights into practice.

"The biggest shift for me has been in communication"

Beyond the plateau
Joe had been with Jet2 for six years, working as an Airports and Tourism Organisations Manager. He noticed he was "plateauing a little bit" and decided to keep pushing his development forward.
Joining our Leadership & Management Degree programme helped him with that shift. What changed first, quickly and most significantly when he started, was how his communication skills. As Joe also puts it, he started “thinking more strategically now about how I communicate and who I communicate to, to ensure the right message gets to the right person in the right way.”
Working with his coach played a massive part
Coaches are an integral part of our programme experience, and for Joe it made a great impact. "They've helped challenge the status quo – what I thought was the right things to be doing - and allowed me to think more about the theory and how that can be applied to my current role to change things for the better".
His weekly learning and coaching also reshaped how he approached team development. The programme helped him gain "that extra management theory experience and strategy to build you up to be a leader," and crucially, the confidence to apply it directly with his team.
As a result, his team have improved leaps and bounds through Joe sharing the frameworks he learned with Corndel, such as critical thinking models. It's an impact not only his team feels, but now other business areas he speaks with.
And his advice for anyone considering it?
"If you’ve got the time allowance to be able to put four to six hours to the side a week, absolutely go for that.” Progress you can feel and impact that shows up where it matters. "If you're looking for that extra management theory, experience and strategy, to then build you up to be a leader, then this is for you."
