Training great software engineers

Corndel Software Engineering Academy has partnered with Softwire, one of the UK’s most successful digital engineering service providers, to create our Software Engineering Apprenticeship. We take bright school-leavers and recent graduates with no coding experience and train them to be great software engineers so they are productive for your business from day one.

Professional experience

The value proposition

Recruiting experienced software engineers is expensive and difficult. Why hire a £70,000 employee when you could hire a £25,000 employee and teach them? Corndel make it quick, easy and convenient for you to take on apprentice software engineers. You can use the Apprenticeship Levy to access the Corndel Software Engineering Academy at zero cost to your organisation.

The Corndel Software Engineering programme

Corndel handle the recruitment, selection and training of your new recruits. Our programme starts with a 3-week Boot Camp where we teach the practical foundations of software engineering. Following this Boot Camp your new employee is ready to join your software development team and start adding value to your business. One day a week you release your new starter to continue their Software Engineering education. Over two years we continue to educate your employee and support their professional development.

Tailored programmes

We are employer-led and teach a range of languages, platforms and database technologies to exactly meet your business requirements. Our core curriculum includes: principles of clean code; algorithms and data structures; debugging and problem solving techniques; software development lifecycle; software support and maintenance.
