Corndel & Hospice UK named finalists at the Business Charity Awards 2025
Corndel and Hospice UK have been named finalists in the Charity Partnership Consortium category at the Business Charity Awards 2025. This prestigious recognition highlights the impact of the Corndel Levy Gifting Pledge, which has provided high-impact professional development opportunities for hospice professionals across the UK.
Empowering hospice professionals through skills development
Hospice UK is the national charity for hospice and end-of-life care, supporting over 200 hospices to ensure people with life-limiting conditions receive high-quality, compassionate care. Recognising the sector’s growing financial and operational challenges, Corndel partnered with Hospice UK to launch the Hospice Data Academy, a pioneering initiative equipping hospice teams with essential data, leadership, and fundraising skills.
Funded by over £1.17 million in gifted Apprenticeship Levy funds, this initiative has provided fully funded training to 94 hospice professionals across 64 hospices, strengthening their ability to deliver sustainable, data-driven patient care. Notably, 87% of data apprentices are female, improving gender diversity in tech-focused roles. The partnership also helps address critical skills gaps, ensuring the long-term sustainability of hospices and their vital services.
