The Imperial College and Corndel partnership brings to market a data analyst programme that combines data and technical courseware with masterclasses and fireside chats from Imperial College facilitators – revolutionising traditional training. We equip data analyst professionals with the techniques, skills and knowledge to tackle key challenges of inefficiency and organisational agility resulting from data skills gaps. The programme embeds cutting-edge thinking in machine learning, AI and data science.

Delivered by experts, our one-to-one coaching model offers transformational learning that will make a real-world impact. We match each participant to an experienced coach who will personally support learners throughout the programme, ensuring they can confidently apply their new data skills.

Who is the programme for?

This programme is designed for people who are looking to gain technical data skills to enable them to make better use of the data they have access to in their day-to-day role, regardless of their corporate function. They may work in sales and marketing and want to be able to create more sophisticated customer segmentation or may work in operational management and want to be able to create performance dashboards to enable easier tracking of key metrics.

Lisa Harty

Lisa Harty has 15+ years extensive experience in data science across the Telco and Credit Risk industry. Women in Credit Awards 2020 Winner: Outstanding Returner. As an accomplished leader and people manager, Lisa is passionate about diversity and inclusion in the workplace and championing STEM events within our communities to inspire future generations. Lisa has a BSc (Hons) Computational Mathematics and Postgraduate Certificate Actuarial Science.

Joe Watkins

Joe Watkins has PhD in Mathematics, BSc in Mathematics. Joe has 10 years lecturing and mentoring experience in Mathematics, and running Outreach programmes and sessions in STEM subjects. Joe has experience in the charitable and health sectors as a systems architect and data analyst.

Wakil Sarfaraz

Wakil Sarfaraz is data-scientist with BSc Mathematics (University of Sussex), MSc Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing (University of Oxford) and a PhD Mathematical Modelling and Computational Biology (University of Sussex). Wakil has experiene working in Cancer and Genomics, Gene Therapeutics, Analytics and Product Development. His greatest strengths are communication, problem-solving and flexibilty.

Sayara Beg

Question: What emerging area of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics excites you the most because of its potential?   “My expertise lies in data analytics and business intelligence, and I recognise these fields’ immense potential in transforming organisations’ operations. In an increasingly digital world, there is a need to safeguard sensitive information, prevent cyber threats, and ensure data privacy. As technology evolves, so do cyber risks, making this field dynamic and challenging, coupled with the ethical implications of artificial intelligence (AI) and the need to balance innovation with privacy rights. Businesses can make informed decisions, optimise processes, and enhance customer experiences by extracting meaningful insights from vast datasets, so the ability to harness data effectively and ethically excites me.” Bio: Sayara Beg is an ISACA Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer™ (CDPSE™) and ODI-certified Data Ethics Facilitator with over 25 years of professional experience, including training and consultancy data-centric Analytics programmes. She has worked in Telecoms, Shipping, Media, Banking (Retail, Asset, Wealth & Investment), Insurance (General & Wholesale), Charities, and the Third Sector.
