To be eligible for this programme, you must:

  • Live and work in the UK: You must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years, work mainly in England (over 50% of your time), and have an English work postcode. If you’re from the EU/EEA, you need pre-settled or settled status; if you’re a non-UK national, you must have a valid visa that covers the full apprenticeship duration.
  • Be employed: You should be working at least 16 hours per week, under a PAYE contract. If you’re on a fixed-term contract, it must last the full length of the apprenticeship, including the End-Point Assessment (EPA).
  • Have the right support at work: Your job role must allow you to apply your learning, and your Line Manager must support your development during the programme.
  • Meet English and maths requirements: If you don’t already have GCSEs (or equivalent Level 2 qualifications) in English and maths, support is available. If you’re under 19, you’ll be automatically enrolled in English/maths training. If you’re 19 or over, your employer will advise you on the next steps.
