Corndel welcomes Bill Donoghue as new Chair of the Board

Corndel is delighted to welcome Bill Donoghue as its new Chair of the Board. Bill's previous roles include Chairman and CEO at Skillsoft and Chief Operating Officer at TES Global. 

Bill has 30+ years’ experience in business, including roles as Chairman, CEO and as a non-executive director and advisor, mainly in online education and learning technology companies. He has extensive international and global experience. He is currently also Chairman of William Clarence Education, and recently served as Interim Executive Chairman at Ocean Technologies Group. He also serves as an active trustee on the board of HUMEN, the mental health charity.

Bill comments, "It is an enormous privilege to be appointed Chair of Corndel at a very exciting time and juncture for the company. What Sean Williams, James Kelly and the team have achieved is simply outstanding.

In a very short space of time the company has carved out a hugely important role in the apprenticeship market, with a set of programmes based on the highest levels of excellence, quality and pedagogy.

Corndel’s foundations are built on its people who are amongst the brightest and best in the industry. With THI as their new shareholder and partner – I am confident the next phase of the company’s growth will be even more successful."

Previous roles include, Chairman and CEO at Skillsoft, the world’s largest eLearning company. At Skillsoft, he led a highly ambitious and successful transformation of the company, brand, people, technology, products, and culture, including the integration of SumTotal systems, a leading HCM software business.

Prior to Skillsoft, he served as Chief Operating Officer at TES Global. He was instrumental in executing the company’s hugely successful digital strategy and building its global presence into the largest network of teachers in the world, leading to the sale of the company to TPG in 2013.
